It looks like SG-1 *might* get picked up by another network if the ratings stay solid.
In specific, two cable channels (SpikeTV and FX) and one brodcast channel (MyTV).
MyTV would be the most interesting. Its formerly known as UPN. And that’s the channel that put up with X years of Star Trek: Voyager. So if they can handle Voyager, they can handle SG-1.
Best of all, they don’t have to pay for anything but the broadcast rights. SG-1 is owned and paid for by MGM, who won’t let the series die. They want one more season, or a movie, or a mini-series. They’re leaning toward one more season to end it all, then start a “third spin off series” starring Ben Browder.
So its not dead. Yet. But will be. But not before they finish it, “the right way.”

Yes burdman, but unlike SG1, voyager was a /good/ series.

Since mudez interjected with an interesting comment, I have this to say:
Did you ignore the middle seasons of Voyager!? They were awful! I can make better episodes in a garage with hamsters and cardboard ships! Voyager was okay. First, second, and last seasons. Everything else was crap.

well, SG1 rocked all the way through whereas Voyager was worth watching because End Game was one of the best episodes of any show ever.
