Well, almost a month ago, BJ told me that I WILL like Anberlin. Who is Anberlin do you ask? They’re awesome, that’s who they are! Duh.

Beej asked me to listen to their music and say what I thought. I’ve listened to their later two albums: “Never Take Friendship Personal,” and “Cities.” They are amazing. They have a great sound. If any of you have heard of Mae, you know how good they are. Well, Anberlin has vocals at least as good as Mae (I think a bit better), but they rock harder. Way harder.

I hate comparing them to Coheed and Cambria because I hate that band, but I must admit that their guitar work is good, and Anberlin reminds me of that.

Anberlin has tons of driving energy and they nail great melodies in just about every song. That’s hard to do.

As if it couldn’t get any worse, there has been a stomach flu epidemic here in our hall (alas, Aaron and I did not escape.)

Apparently people all over the dorm got sick last night. So, ‘mudez was wrong. No electrical fire.

Basically this has become the UMR Disaster Week.
