Apple Cares!
Last night I got an email from Apple. It basically says: “Don’t buy Vista! Buy a Mac!”
I was very touched with Apple’s concern for me. They obviously don’t want me buying an inferior product. Go Apple!
(For any of you reading this, feel free to donate a MacBook Pro to my cause*)

Yeah, I’d donate, but I’d want one too. So…sorry.
But see? Microsoft won’t send you an email telling you about the daily-released “total exploits” for OS X, will they? So obviously, Apple’s kinder.

You see, though? the catch here is that Apple isn’t lying. Microsoft is! So Apple is more kind AND more honest!

Bah, OSX is overrated on whole, and I’m wouldn’t touching Vista with a ten foot pole whilst in MOPP-5 bio-hazard equipment until the DRM hell that is Protect Content Path has been thoroughly and completely defeated, lest Hollywood decide I can’t watch my media on my hardware without ceding to them control over my system.
…I’M NOT BITTER!
That and I’m saving for a laptop for studio next year, so your just and glorious cause will have to keep searching for a beneficiary

I don’t think you’re bitter Brent, I think you’re smart. Do you remember windows ME I sure do, and I think I’ll let them work the kinks out of it for a year or three before paying good money for their overpriced crap.
And i use the word paying in the sense that i pay for bandwidth to have ISO files magically come through a series of tubes.

And you use the words “paying for bandwidth to have ISO files magically come through a series of tubes” in the sense that your parents pay for ISO files magically come through a series of tubes.

we saw that, peter, and we have our collective eyes on you.
you too, brent. you can only pirate software and movies that specifically say ‘keep circulating the tapes’ during the ending credits.

Nice, RIAA. We know who you are…

It’s good to see that the RECORDING Industry Association of America cares about software piracy. such kind folks.

I love Apple and its products, but a forewarning. In about 2-3 years, it’ll likely either be consolidated or no longer exist. Not because of their product line (because that alone will allow the name “Apple” to exist), but because Steve Jobs and members of the Apple Board of Directors are under direct investigation for insider trading, stock invalidation, retirement fraud, and anti-trust.
Unless they pull a Microsoft, I can’t see them pulling out of this one.
Its, “The Quiet Storm.” Eventually it’ll become big news once the Feds send out their official charges.

How does the burdman know of these things? Is he working for the G-man? does he have super secret intel, or am I just not reading the right tech blogs and or news services?
February 6th, 2007 at 10:32 am
Peter: Actually, C|Net is reporting this pretty heavily.
February 7th, 2007 at 9:56 am
Dear RIAA: I am, in fact, still circulating the “tapes.” Space Mutiny went over very well.
February 15th, 2007 at 10:18 am
Looks like the RIAA is pretty well known around these parts

peter:
don’t you realize we’ve already gained hegemony over software production? and peanut butter? (sorry about the salmonella thing, but it was a necessary evil.)
we also know your mom bought your socks for you. it isn’t a violation yet, but it will be soon.
